B.A. Johnston Announces New Album 'Werewolves of London, Ontario' with Livestream Listening Party
In late 2020, B.A. Johnston shared that he would soon begin recording a follow-up to 2019's The Skid Is Hot Tonight, and the beloved Hamilton figure has now lifted the curtain on the new album.

Today, Johnston has revealed the title of his forthcoming new LP to be Werewolves of London, Ontario, a humorous play on the title of Warren Zevon's 1978 single.

Its illustrated cover art, seen above, features London landmarks including the Labbatt Brewery, the Embassy Hotel and storied live music venue Call the Office, along with Vincent Price, Elvira, Raccoons villain Cyril Sneer, the Hostess potato chip Munchies mascots, and the Littlest Hobo jumping over the moon.

While Werewolves of London, Ontario has yet to receive a release date, Johnston shared in his announcement that he would throw a livestream listening party for the LP ahead of its official release this summer.

"Locked down? Bars closed? Well gonna do a live stream listening party of the new album, won't be out [till] June so may as well tune in this [Saturday]," he wrote. On January 22, Johnston will first host a listening party via Facebook and YouTube at 9:30 p.m. ET, ahead of sharing his latest via Instagram at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Johnston shared in December via his website that he would once again be booking backyard (and/or driveway) shows in 2022, "starting in May (June out west and Sept. out East). So get at me if you want a certain date as they are slowly starting to get booked up."

Last year, Johnston appeared in Hamilton-set comedy series This Is the Thing.
