The Live at Last tour began in late November and was expected to wrap up on December 23
The string of dates began at the end of November, with the Toronto outfit having played several shows in Quebec and Ontario thus far. News of the crew member's test results comes today, amid rising case numbers of the Omicron variant in Canada.
"[H]i friends," the band began, writing on Twitter this afternoon. "[O]ne of the members of our touring family just tested positive for COVID-19. [T]he remainder of the canadian [sic] tour dates will be postponed."
July Talk were scheduled to perform in Winnipeg tonight with Jaywood, following last night's show in Thunder Bay. Then, they had planned on moving Westward for stops in Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria.
"[W]e're working on rescheduling these shows, so hold on to your tickets and we'll post the new dates asap [sic]," they assured fans, adding: "[S]tay safe out there 😭🖤."
